About Morghan Sharpe

Morghan emigrated from Northeast London and grew up in an English household where the care of family and community were stressed. She was raised in Maryland and eventually moved to Hawaii and then California where she raised two daughters.
Her inspiration for pursuing Natural Health and Healing stems from the food allergies of her youngest daughter, and the desire to send them to private school for a better education. She received her massage therapy certification in 1990 from Body Therapy Institute of Santa Barbara, where she studied, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Polarity, Lymphatic Drainage, Prenatal massage, Foot Reflexology and Myofascial Release. She spent three years working at the school specializing in deep tissue and helping students prepare for their exams. She has since continued her Bodywork education with Pranic Healing, Myofascial Release and recently has received her accreditation as a Bowenwork practitioner.

During her first year as a massage therapist, Morghan suffered from repetitive stress injuries which lead to a fascination in Personal Training and Rehabilitation Therapy as well as Preventative Health and Healing. As a result, she became a Personal Trainer and worked in that field for six years while maintaining her massage practice. Due to her background in Personal Training and Massage Therapy she worked for a well-known Physical Therapist in Santa Barbara where she learned Deep Myofascial Release and its application to the healing of injuries.
Over the next decade Morghan furthered her health education working in and studying natural nutrition and diet supplementation.

To be closer to her family, Morghan moved back east, which brought a return to Personal Training and then into becoming a Chiropractic Rehab Specialist for over seven years. She moved to Staunton, Virginia five years ago to care for an ill, aging parent and continues to care for the remaining parent. She has since returned to her roots as a Massage Therapist dedicated to bettering the lives of her family and the community.

Morghan is an intuitive and creative Massage Therapist; she utilizes her varied background and techniques to provide the most complete session within her abilities at the time of the session. No two sessions will be the same. Morghan will ask questions either before the session or during to get further clarity on what may be the root cause of your issues. She tends to give nutrition advice and exercises as necessary to help your healing process. Homework is always a choice but will help move the changes along. She strongly believes in the healing process as teamwork between client and therapist.
